Why WACP
Formed when Fellows and Members of the College constituted a chapter in Nigeria, WACP exists to raise the standard of postgraduate medical training and practice across West Africa.
Excellence in training
We promote excellence of professional training and set the standard of practice for physicians across West Africa.
Better healthcare for West Africa
By certifying specially trained physicians, we help the public identify properly qualified specialists and improve health outcomes.
Continuing engagement in health
We encourage and support Fellows and Members in ongoing health matters, beyond certification alone.
Shaping postgraduate policy
We advise on the formulation of policies for postgraduate medical education across the region.
